Joseph Renard Dismond - Principal
Dr. Joseph Renard Dismond is now in his 3rd year as Principal of Lake Erie International High School. His school's vision remains focused on Social Emotional Learning for all students, which encompasses building positive relationships with students, hence allowing them to express themselves, have an increased interest in attending school, and finding their true purpose while experiencing what LEIHS has to offer.
Since joining LEIHS, the school has shown significant increases in graduation rates for both the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 school years. He continues to also sustain meaningful partnerships with local community organizations that include Afterschool Allstars, Cleveland Hunger Alliance, Tri-C, and more, all of which serve the students.
"Dr. Joe", as his students call him, has an “open door” policy for students and his professional team – when he is available, students are always welcome to “shoot the breeze” or discuss any matters pertaining to their academic and social growth.
In his spare time, Dr. Dismond enjoys spending time with his family and cooking. He is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
Brandi Stevens - Assistant Principal
Brandi Stevens a graduate of Cleveland State University has been working with youth for the past 20 years. Before joining Lake Erie as the Assistant Principal this year, she was a Dean of Students at a 9-12 charter school. Her main focus at Lake Erie is establishing a new culture with students, while holding them to high behavioral expectations that can translate to academic performance increases. In her spare time, she likes to travel, spend time with her children and cooking.
